GHS Fascade, Entry Court & Window Replacement *

Scope of Work:

Upgrade existing fascade, replace

windows and remodel / landscape main

entrance courtyard.

 

Project Description:

The existing exterior fascade of the High

School consisted of rough granite

impregnated panels and the original

windows from 1961. By replacing the

windows with thermally-broken frames and

insulated glazing, refacing the fascade

with added insulation and additional

thermal mass, the overall thermal /

insulating performace of the fascade was

dramatically increased resulting in a more

energy efficient structure.

The main entry concrete sidewalk, ramps

and stairs were replaced and the

courtyard was landscaped with low

maintenance high-stress tolerant species

to minimize cost of maintenance and

improve overall ‘curb appeal’.
